Leicestershire Services
There are a number of supported living services in Leicestershire, supporting over 40 people in the towns of Glenfield, Loughborough, Markfield, Melton Mowbray, Oadby, Sileby, Syston, and Wigston. We support people based around their individual needs.
Some services have three or four people who are friends living together, whilst other people are supported to live alone. Most of our services offer 24 hours support.
The first supported living service opened in 2005. Most of the people we support came from a local long stay hospital near Leicester City and registered care homes. A feature of our services in Leicestershire is the inspiring transitional work that has been carried out to enable people to move from very traditional institutional environments to progressive supported living services.
