Accommodation
All the rooms are single rooms and can be personalised to reflect individual tastes. Each room has private en-suite shower facilities, however there are assisted bathrooms available if preferred.

All rooms have TV and telephone points and a call system for requesting help if needed.

The Chestnuts has a beautifully kept garden for residents to enjoy whether that is sitting with a good book or tending to bedding plants in your patch of garden.

There are spacious lounges where residents can sit and relax, socialise or watch the large flat screen TV’s.

Person Centred Planning

There are no restrictions on visits to the home or on trips and visits to friends and family outside the home. A visitor’s room is available to accommodate a relative’s overnight stay in the event of a relative being concerned for the well-being of a resident.

Each person living at The Chestnuts will have their own keyworker who will liaise with the resident and their family to create a person centred plan in order to detail personal preferences and wishes and enable care and support to be provided as and when it is required, 24 hours a day.

Staffing

Staff are on site at all times and a specific night care team is available throughout the night.

A housekeeping team carry out all cleaning and laundry care. If people at The Chestnuts wish to carry out their own cleaning or personal laundry we will work with them to achieve this.

Activities

Leisure and recreational activities are provided for both individuals and groups. Activities are planned to be meaningful to the individual and stimulating. For residents who have a dementia staff will support the resident to enjoy a variety of activities and social opportunities based on their preferences and strengths.
