80+ Years of Service at Peppercorn House!

Four Heritage Care Support Workers at Peppercorn House in Ipswich have racked up an incredible 80+ years of continuous service at this Older People’s Extra Care Scheme this year.  Julie Sadler, Michaela Ward, Angela Smith and Sue Pullen have worked in the service for an amazing 20 years  or more each.

On Tuesday 27th March they were shocked and delighted to discover they were the ‘stars of the show’ at a surprise Award Event hosted by Christine Glacken, Scheme Manager and attended by Mark Milton, CEO Heritage Care, together with many of the Peppercorn House residents, family and friends!

Christine Glacken, Scheme Manager,  said:

“I am so proud to work with such an incredible team at Peppercorn House.  We work together like a family supporting each other and the tenants in our care.  These amazing 4 individuals exemplify all that is fantastic about Peppercorn House and the organisation we work for. They are a cornerstone of the support team and have been at Peppercorn ever since it opened its doors to the first tenants in 1996.”

Mark Milton, CEO, added:

I am so proud that I have been able to come along today and make these Long Service Awards to such dedicated, committed and supportive employees. Their individual  input, professionalism and longevity within this service is testament to the great team environment and culture that Peppercorn House has fostered.

In times like these when the social care landscape is so challenging to recruit into, these 4 individuals  clearly demonstrate that people can enjoy a long, meaningful and rewarding career in care work.”
