Sunflower Day Centre opens at St Audrey’s care home

St Audrey’s care home in Old Hatfield is launching a new service for local people, starting in November 2018!

For a fee people can come along to the home and take part in a day of activities and fun from 10am-3pm. It means that carers can have a break or those over 60 have the chance to socialise and meet friends old and new in a warm and supportive environment.

Samantha Lynch from St Audrey’s said:
‘We are delighted to be able to over the Sunflower Day centre and Activity days to local residents. We will be providing an array of activities such as reminisce sessions, arts and crafts, plus film viewings for people to take part in. Individuals can get as involved as they wish or simply come along for lunch and a chat with friends old and new.

We will be offering some gentle exercise sessions for those people who might wish to improve their flexibility and mobility as well as providing support and assistance with bathing in our accessible bathrooms.’

A full activity day costs just £50 per person with a delicious lunch included. Places must be booked in advance. To find out more including which days the Sunflower Centre will open or to book a days visit call:
