Our experience

We support people with complex needs due to autism. Our services are designed to help individuals with autism to develop the confidence and the skills they need to live in their own homes. We understand that it is important for people to have choice and control over the support they need in order to achieve their hopes and dreams.

How can we help people with autism?

  • We can help find accommodation that meets the needs of each individual.
  • We can support people to develop new skills in order to become more independent.
  • We can support people to engage with their local community and enjoy all that it has to offer.
  • We encourage individuals to enjoy family life, make friends and lead a full life.
  • We can make plans for their lives which take into account how their autism affects them.
  • We can help people create a home environment that meets their sensory and social needs.

What does the service deliver?

  • We ensure that the people we support are safe and happy.
  • We provide person centred support, working in partnership with individuals, their families and their professional healthcare staff.
  • We work with individuals and their families to select their own support staff.
  • We provide skilled and experienced support staff who have received accredited autism training and who undertake specialist training in relation to he person being supported.

Who is the service for?

We can support any individual ager 18 or over (or anyone who is approaching this age and would like us to start planning their future support) who has been assessed as requiring care.

What is next?

  • We will meet with you to find out your needs and wishes.
  • We will work together with you to develop a support plan and a person centred job description which enables us to find the right person to support you.
  • We will agree how we will review and improve your service.
  • We will manage your service for as long as you would like us to.
  • Please feel free to contact your local Heritage Care Domiciliary Branch (see menu of County locations on the left) or complete our online contact form
