Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities

Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities

Our experience

Our services support individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities to develop the confidence and the skills they needs to live in their own homes. We understand that it is important for people to have choice and control over the support that they need in order to achieve their hopes and dreams.

At the core of what we do is the person we support so we plan services around the individual and their needs.

How can we help people with profound and multiple learning disabilities?

  • We can help find accommodation that meets the needs of each individual.
  • We can support people to develop new skills in order to be more independent.
  • We can support people to engage with their local community and enjoy all it has to offer.
  • We encourage individuals to enjoy family life, make friends and lead a full life.
  • We provide support in conjunction with specialist healthcare providers.

What does the service deliver?

  • We ensure that the people we support are safe and happy.
  • We provide person centred support, working in partnership with individuals, their families and their healthcare professionals.
  • We provide skilled and experienced support teams who undertake specialist training in relation to the person they are caring for.

Who is the service for?

We can support any individual aged over 18 (or anyone who is approaching this age and would like us to start planning their future support) who has been assessed as requiring care.

What is next?

  •  We will meet with you to find out your needs and wishes.
  • We will work together with you to develop a support plan and a person centred job description which will enable us to find the right support staff.
  • We will manage your service for as long as you would like us to.
  • Please feel free to contact your local Heritage Care Domiciliary Branch (see menu of County locations on the left) or complete our online contact form
